Dearly Beloved in Christ, We are entering into the sixth month of the year. The days are passing very fast. Let us turn back and look into our lives. What we have accomplished. At least a life pleasing to God? The family is the most important institution in the world. It is God’s will that man should not be alone. Families existed before cities and governments, before nations and churches. In homes character and integrity are formed, values are made clear and goals are set. As parents we have a great responsibility towards our children. The Bible says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” There may not be a written rule for everything, but hereditarily we follow certain rules. We have certain practices that we follow to keep the worship and worship places Holy. What are the criteria for keeping it? Are we a model to our youngsters? Do we carry a bible with us to church?. Do our children bring one and the bring it back home from church? Do they properly handle it or use it as an all purpose rough book? Do we keep a particular dress to wear when we come to church? Do we take some time to pray quietly in the church? The Bible says, “Satan like a roaring lion is looking for someone to devour.” So resist him. Our best defense is the Word of God. Read the Bible together as a family. Have family devotions. Pray for one another daily by name. Christ can change our lives. May the almighty God bless each one of us. Yours in His service, Babu Achen
