February 2008

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Days are going very fast. We have just finished the celebration of Christmas and New Year.  Now the second month of the year 2008 has come very quickly.

C.T. Studd the famous missionary pioneer wrote the couplet:-

Only one life, It will soon be past:

Only what is done for Christ will last.

Life is a glorious opportunity if we use it to prepare ourselves for eternity.  If we fail in this but succeed in everything else, our life will be a failure. What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lost his own soul? (Mark.8:36)  It is said that life is the celebration of relationship between the creator God and the created being.  To celebrate life, it needs love.  He loved us and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(Jn.3:16) Let our love  demonstrate in the short life we have on this earth.  The love talked about is easily ignored, but love demonstrated is irresistible.  The Bible says, God demonstrated the love towards us while we were still sinners. (Rom.5:8) Robots do not love. God created us with the capacity to love. Let us demonstrate that love in our life.

The great Maramon convention begins by 10th February. Let us remember the convention in our prayers.

It is very sad to hear the sad demise of our Willson achen. He had served as Metroplitan’s chaplain, Bishop’s secretary, Missionary, Vicar, and he was a teacher in the EJ Institute before he came here. Kochamma also has a Masters degree in Theology. Let us uphold Praisykochamma and their two kids Pavana and Praveena, in our prayers.

Yours in Christ’s love

Babu Achen
